Our nursery has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted which means we excel in the education and care of children.
Our ethos is to inspire children to learn through play in our outdoor environment using nature to enrich their imagination.
Set in the beautiful village of Steeple Langford in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, children visit the local park, Langford Lakes and the community centre care home throughout the year.
Our experienced educators teach children using the Early Years Foundation Stage framework alongside our own Storal approach to curriculum.
We make the most of our beautiful setting, ensuring children experience the joy and wonder of learning through nature and its changing seasons. Sunny days are for mud sliding and outdoor yoga, and in the autumn, you’ll find us exploring all the different colours of this time of year.
With healthy snacks and delicious fresh food cooked every day by our onsite chef, children experience new flavours and look forward to favourite dishes, while older children help in our kitchen.
We’ll use seasonal produce where we can, and incorporate our very own homegrown fruit and vegetables into our meals which children have planted, tended and handpicked themselves.
Every day at Farley we encourage children to be curious and imaginative in our wonderful outdoor learning environment. In doing so, they soon develop a real love of learning.
Our happy educators are long-standing members of our team and with that experience comes a wealth of early years learning insight. We know that every child is different with their own story to tell, so we make sure that your child learns in a way and at a pace that’s right for them.
We’re proud of our village roots and our beautiful location offers so much, from excursions to Langford Lakes and the community care home to playtime sessions at our local park.

The support and love the whole team show for the little ones in their care is obvious in every interaction. The outdoor ethos is fantastic, the grubby smiling faces at pick up always tell me that they've had a great day (staff and children!).
There are so many charming things about Farley Steeple Langford, we love the children's adventure books (scrapbooks), the parents evenings and nativity. The staff are kind and dedicated, each knows our child and she always goes in happily and comes running out beaming. We know that she's in a wonderfully healthy setting with plenty of space to explore.
The passion that the team have for play, craft, care, learning, engagement and more is truly amazing. They are supportive of all elements to do with your child, especially when it comes to things like toilet training. As parents, you feel completely involved with all elements, and you definitely feel like family.
It's amazing to be able to drop them off knowing they will be having the best time in such a loving and caring environment. It makes all the dirty washing they come with worthwhile! Whenever I describe the nursery to other parents they always remark at how perfect it sounds and wish they had one near them. The team are so friendly and understanding. I wouldn't want my boys to be anywhere else, honestly 10/10!
Offering so many opportunities for sensory discovery, Farley’s outdoor setting is incorporated in our play for this age group and helps babies learn and develop new skills, from walking to talking.
After a busy morning of exploring and learning, it’s time to recharge. We know how important naps are, and make sure that when they need it, children can sleep.
Their story begins to take shape, and growing toddlers are given the time and space to be more independent, discover and learn. Children make friends, learn to play alongside each other and become more aware of the world around them.
Our experienced educators encourage language development too, starting with simple sounds and building to sentences.
With growing confidence and ability, we prepare our preschool children for the learning journey ahead with a focus on phonics, numbers and social skills. We’ll also work with you to help your child with toilet training, giving them lots of support and encouragement along the way.
Children spend their final year at Farley preparing for primary school. By this time, they have made firm friendships and have experienced the outdoor learning environment in full throughout the year.
With their voices heard in our very own council, they leave us as independent, curious and confident learners, ready for the next chapter of their own story.
Amidst all that learning, there’s plenty of time for play with games, creative activities and outdoor fun.
If children prefer some time away from the hustle and bustle, our quiet area is equipped with reading books and spaces to complete homework.
Whether it’s breakfast to start the day or a hearty meal after school, all of our nutritious food is freshly prepared daily.
