Our rooms are individually crafted with thought and care. We are passionate about creating homely and stimulating environments, inspired by the Hygge approach and Scandinavian design. We believe children thrive best in welcoming and nurturing environments, and we provide spaces that enable this.
Children of every age enjoy time in our captivating outdoor spaces which include a wooded area, mud kitchen, yurt, and allotment. We are passionate about providing children with opportunities to immerse themselves in the wonder of the natural world through hands-on outdoor activities.
We’re located next door to St George’s School, offering children wonderful opportunities to engage in activities to prepare them for school such as PE, nativities, and sports days, fostering a smooth transition to primary school.
We also offer Forest School sessions which present children with opportunities to initiate activities themselves, developing communication and language skills, and forming relationships with their peers. We strive to make children feel valued as individuals in all that we do.
We are dedicated to providing nutritious, balanced, and varied meals that are freshly prepared by our on-site cook using local produce.
During mealtimes, we support children to develop good table manners and learn about the taste, smell, and texture of different foods. This promotes confidence in embracing adventurous food choices as they grow.
In 2017, we opened our nursery school as a sister nursery to Ark Foundry Road, conveniently located next door to St. George’s School in Stamford.
At Ark Kesteven Road, we’re passionate about creating a cosy, homely, and stimulating atmosphere for children through our architect-designed environments, and our team of caring and dedicated educators. We ignite curiosity, inspire creativity, and instil a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
We prioritise clear, transparent communication with you through regular updates, parent workshops, and family events. We aim to ensure that parents feel supported and engaged throughout each chapter of their child's educational journey.
At Ark Kesteven Road Nursery School, our goal is not only to educate our children but also to empower them to grow into confident, compassionate, and capable individuals. If you're ready to embark on this exciting adventure with us, we welcome you to arrange a visit and experience our wonderful nursery for yourself.
The children get lots of outdoor play and developmentally I have seen my child flourish here in his speech, motor and fine skills. The meals are always enjoyed by my child.
My son started in January 2024 and he has settled in really quickly. Thanks to the lovely staff in the kinder garden room. It is great to hear about his day and what he has learnt and the creative drawings he comes home with.
He loves the staff and the outdoor space. The care is fantastic. He looks forward to Monday morning with his friends.
In our welcoming and bright baby room, we've crafted a space to help our youngest children feel at home. Complete with a cosy living room, dedicated bathroom and changing area, bedroom, and a large playroom for endless adventures, it's designed with their comfort and curiosity in mind.
As their story begins to take shape, growing toddlers are given the time and space to be more independent, discover, and learn. Children enjoy interesting and cosy environments that encourage them to explore and investigate with independence. Our various spaces for this age group are complete with a treehouse and under-stairs sensory cave, their own bathroom facilities and direct entry onto the large decking and outdoor area.
With growing confidence and ability, the Storal Curriculum prepares our preschool children for primary school with a focus on literacy, early maths, and social skills. We achieve this through versatile spaces split into different areas to focus on all areas of learning, including our balcony for free flow play where children can observe the world from a different angle. Outdoor learning is also prioritised in our outdoor play zone complete with a fire circle, tree swing, and mud kitchen. Our Forest School sessions are also a firm favourite.
Amidst all that learning, there’s plenty of time for play with games, creative activities and outdoor fun.
If children prefer some time away from the hustle and bustle, our quiet area is equipped with reading books and spaces to complete homework.
Whether it’s breakfast to start the day or a hearty meal after school, all of our nutritious food is freshly prepared daily.
