What makes us special
Our rooms are individually crafted with thought and care. We are passionate about creating homely and stimulating environments, inspired by the Hygge approach and Scandinavian design. We believe children thrive best in welcoming and nurturing environments, and we provide spaces that enable this.
Children of every age enjoy time in our captivating outdoor spaces which include a wooded area, mud kitchen, yurt, and allotment. We are passionate about providing children with opportunities to immerse themselves in the wonder of the natural world through hands-on outdoor activities.
We’re located next door to St George’s School, offering children wonderful opportunities to engage in activities to prepare them for school such as PE, nativities, and sports days, fostering a smooth transition to primary school.
Hello name is Emma and I am the Nursery Manager here at Ark Kesteven Nursery School.
Early Years has been my passion since leaving school, and since completing my diploma, I have embraced many roles and responsibilities giving me the experience and knowledge to be where I am today.
At Ark Kesteven, we’re passionate about creating a cosy, homely, and stimulating environment for our children, with the support from our caring and dedicated educators. We ignite curiosity, inspire creativity, and instil a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. We prioritise clear, transparent communication with you through regular updates, parent workshops, and family events. We aim to ensure that parents feel supported and engaged throughout each chapter of their child's educational journey.
At Ark Kesteven Road Nursery School, our goal is not only to educate our children but also to empower them to grow into confident, compassionate, and capable individuals. We'd love to meet you and your family soon!

Meals with Storal
Children enjoy engaging cookery sessions, exploring ingredients and developing skills through hands-on fun. They also become curious about where food comes from, with opportunities to learn about growing ingredients, fostering a love for food.
Our bespoke food menus cater to various dietary requirements, ensuring every child can enjoy nutritious meals. With a wide range of meal options, we provide a diverse and inclusive dining experience that encourages healthy eating and introduces new flavors.
Our onsite chef prepares nutritious, delicious meals using locally sourced ingredients where possible. We introduce children to a variety of flavors, sparking curiosity, encouraging healthy eating habits, and fostering an appreciation for good nutrition from an early age.

Our Community
At Ark Kesteven Road, we love being part of a caring and connected community. Giving back is something we’re truly passionate about, which is why we’ve chosen to support a local charity Don't Lose Hope who provide professional counselling services. It is a cause that is close to our hearts as they have recently supported one of our families, and helped us gain a deeper understanding of childhood trauma. Several of our team members have also benefitted from their services.
Throughout the year, we’ll be getting together for lots of fundraising activities, from bake sales and dress-up days, to sponsored challenges. Together we can make a difference to such an important cause and inspire our children to grow with kindness and generosity. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve as a community! Out Of School Clubs
Amidst all that learning, there’s plenty of time for play with games, creative activities and outdoor fun.
If children prefer some time away from the hustle and bustle, our quiet area is equipped with reading books and spaces to complete homework.
Whether it’s breakfast to start the day or a hearty meal after school, all of our nutritious food is freshly prepared daily.
