Cultivating positive habits, resilience and wellness.
The children we’re educating are emerging into a fast-paced, digital world that looks very different from the childhoods we experienced. It's never been more important to give children healthy foundations – helping them build the confidence and resilience that will set them up for success later in life.
Our bespoke outdoor curriculum gives children the opportunity to connect or reconnect with the world around them and find balance. Children learn best when they are moving and able to explore and be creative. Our programme offers everyone the opportunity to shine and enjoy learning in a relaxed and open-ended way.
Our story sessions are rooted in timeless children's stories, which act as a springboard for play, fun and learning.
Whether they're going on a bear hunt, looking for the Gruffalo or talking with Stick Man, our children let their imaginations run wild.
Children take advantage of nature's best resources, crafting caves, crowns, bird feeders and bug hotels out of leaves, plants, sticks and mud.
Young adventurers learn all about the book's featured wildlife, applying scientific principles to measure worms, listen to birdcall and spot animal tracks.
Our outdoor sessions also give our explorers a framework, practicing crucial life skills such as respecting boundaries and safety practices.
We utilise tools and teach all children how to safely use them - holding them in the correct position and in the dominant hand.
Children listen to and understand our rules, regularly reviewing them and recalling them as a group.
Children are actively involved in checking the area before we start our session, so they know where the safe boundaries are.
Outdoor Adventurers provides practical, real-life experiences that teach children new skills and further their appreciation of the world around them.
Planting and observing growth and change, is a crucial part of learning for children - teaching them about seasonality, food and the critical sources of life on earth.
Observing animals and their habitats supports children's understanding of their world, and the importance of treating living things with respect and care.
Our Outdoor Adventurers programme also provides activity inspiration for fun at home, giving parents opportunities to further their child's learning.
Alongside our story led sessions, children celebrate music and rhythm with our Outdoor Adventurers Song and Rhyme collection.
Singing in groups is scientifically proven to improve mental health and – when combined with fresh air and nature –helps children feel a sense of connection and balance.
As well as listening to the natural world, children develop an awareness of the varying acoustics outside, hearing how noises and songs resonate in different ways.
As they sing, children are encouraged to create percussive sounds with their hands and feet and natural resources, to develop their senses of rhythm and coordination
We know that children learn better when they are energised and fuelled by nutritious food. We offer our children wholesome, home-cooked meals and snacks, freshly prepared by our experienced chefs onsite.
Promoting children's mental health and wellbeing is paramount in our nurseries. As part of our whole-child approach, our children take part in an array of activities that are designed to keep them healthy in body, heart and mind.
Days at nursery are jam-packed full of fun, playful and stimulating learning activities. That's why it's so important to build in positive sleep times for our children, so that they can rest and recharge in the day
When new babies join nursery, we follow their home routine as closely as possible to ensure that they settle in to their new sleep environment smoothly.
All of our nurseries have different sleeping environments for children, but rest assured, all follow the NHS safe sleep guidelines.
As children grow, we continue to support their individual needs when it comes to naps, ensuring that those who need it, rest for at least two sleep cycles.
