Nursery Manager
Emma Britland

Hi, my name is Emma, and I am the Nursery Manager at Children 1st Clowne Nursery. I have worked within the childcare sector for over 15 years, starting as an Apprentice and progressing to Nursery Manager. Throughout my time at Children 1st, I have also worked within our training and developing team at various nurseries.

At Clowne we have a passionate and dedicated team, who truly feel so privileged to be a part of your child's early years. Together, we are role models and teachers to your children within our setting and seeing them reach their milestones is such a sense of achievement.

What I love most about our nursery is our strong sense of community. We are more than just a nursery, we are a family. We support our local community by delivering random acts of kindness and working alongside our local residential home, taking part in activities like carol singing for them.

I would be delighted to meet you and your family for a tour and show you what makes our nursery such a special place.

Cooking together

Children enjoy engaging cookery sessions, exploring ingredients and developing skills through hands-on fun. They also become curious about where food comes from, with opportunities to learn about growing ingredients, fostering a love for food.

Nursery chef

Our onsite chef prepares nutritious, delicious meals using locally sourced ingredients where possible. We introduce children to a variety of flavors, sparking curiosity, encouraging healthy eating habits, and fostering an appreciation for good nutrition from an early age.

Making a difference

Our Community

We believe in the power of kindness and the importance of giving back. We’re always looking for ways to support good causes and get involved in our community, helping to make a positive impact where it’s needed most.

Throughout the year, we’ll be organising a range of fun and meaningful fundraising activities, from bake sales and dress-up days to sponsored challenges and community events. It’s a great way for our children, families, and team to come together, have fun, and make a real difference.
