What makes us special
Our outdoor nursery is a beautiful, natural space where children explore our natural world, observe the changing seasons, and discover the wildlife surrounding them.
Our ethos is learning through outdoor play, using nature alongside our curriculum to enrich children’s imaginations and knowledge.
We work closely with our parents and encourage them to get involved in events throughout the year so they feel as much a part of the Farley family as their children.
We make the most of our beautiful setting, ensuring children experience the joy and wonder of learning through nature in our outdoor environment.
Our experienced educators teach children using the Early Years Foundation Stage framework alongside our own Storal approach to curriculum.
Children become independent thinkers, making their own choices and managing risks in our outdoor environment. Sunny days are for exploring the long grass and discovering the wildlife on our doorstep. And in the autumn, you’ll find us observing all the different colours of this time of year.
Mealtimes at Farley Salisbury are a time for children to refuel, be sociable and learn about nutrition.
Our healthy snacks and delicious fresh food are cooked every day by our onsite chef using local and seasonal produce when we can. Children enjoy experiencing new flavours and look forward to their favourite dishes while older children assist in the kitchen.

Our magical outdoor learning environment offers exceptional care and learning for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old.
Babies
Our outdoor setting offers lots of opportunities for sensory discovery and is incorporated into our play for this age group. From walking to talking, our exceptional learning environment helps babies confidently develop new skills.
After a busy morning of exploring and learning, it’s time to recharge. We know how important naps are, and make sure that when they need it, children can sleep.
Toddlers
As their story begins to take shape, growing toddlers are given the time and space to be more independent, discover and learn. Children make friends, learn to play alongside each other and become more aware of the world around them. Our experienced educators encourage language development too, starting with simple sounds and building to sentences.
Preschool
With growing confidence and ability, we prepare our preschool children for the learning journey ahead with a focus on phonics, numbers and social skills. We’ll also work with you to help your child with toilet training, giving them lots of support and encouragement along the way.
Children spend their final year at Farley preparing for primary school. By this time, they have made firm friendships and have experienced the outdoor learning environment in full throughout the year. With their voices heard in our very own council, they leave us as independent, curious and confident learners, ready for the next chapter of their own story.
Out Of School Clubs
Amidst all that learning, there’s plenty of time for play with games, creative activities and outdoor fun.
If children prefer some time away from the hustle and bustle, our quiet area is equipped with reading books and spaces to complete homework.
Whether it’s breakfast to start the day or a hearty meal after school, all of our nutritious food is freshly prepared daily.
